I'm sure I'll get flamed. I searched and looked at old threads in here but didn't really find anything that would work for me...

Anyways...

I installed my AVIC-D1 in the dash, and now I want some speakers.

I don't want to spend a ton of cash on them, but I'd like something better.

I want to replace the 4 door speakers and then get a sub box for the back. For the sub I want something 1-2 10" or 1 12" and an amp. I'm not exactly sure there, but thats fairly easy to pickout. The door speaker system I'm having problems with. What do you guys think are fair priced, yet good replacements for an 04 to be used with my D1 ?

Also, Do you guys think I should invest in some dynamat? Not really to keep the rattle down, but to keep the cab quieter and road noise down more...

Well for your door speakers there are lots of good options. They are 5x7/6x8 so there are quite a few speakers in this range. I had Infinity References and I liked them. Polk will have something nice sounding in this size too. If you're looking for components then I've only had experience with Orion XTR 5 1/4" and they were alright. Anyway, good luck man

I'm kinda leaning towards the Infinity kappa 50.7cs for the front, and maybe something like the kappa 682.7cf for the rear...

I havn't really decided for sure yet, but those are the ones for the moment.

Now I have to look at amps and sub(s) for the rear.

Some have said the kappa tweeters are harsh but if you like the sound of them then that is what matters. They are metal tweeters and so they will be harsher than the silk tweeters of the infinity reference but let your ears do the selecting. Both are good speakers

Do you have pics of the AVIC installed? I am considering purchaseing one but am unsure of how it would look? Thanks for your help!
