Audiobahn or MA AUDIO?

Ive changed my mind again...this time its amps. I have my choice that involes Audiobahn and MA.

1. Audiobahn A2800E 2-channel Amplifier thats 560x1 @ 4ohms

and

2. MA AUDIO 1886I MONO BLOCK amp 500x1 @ 4ohms

I need 600Watts or less to power a 15" Audiobahn Excursion Sub, what do you think?

you do realize that this amp would be over two years old by now....
the E series (as in A2800E) was from the 2000 model year. the X series (as in A2801X : same amp just different year, looks, and some new features) was the 2001 model year. and the Q series is 2002. so if you can actually find a 2800E, it is kinda old.


anyway, the Audiobahn amp is rated at a lower voltage. so in your explorer it would put out higher then the rated power (560 watts @ 12.5 volts might become 660 @ 14.5 volts). ma audio is also a good company. personally i would choose an Audiobahn A2801Q (or you might be able to get a great deal on a A2801X from last year. i know the zeb was having a clearance)

I think Im gonna go with the MA AUDIO amp since i did a price match and can get it for $150 insted of the orginal 200. I could get the Audiobahn for 200 but then i would also have to upgrade to a more expensive sub about $30-40. Which would be about a $90 more total. I just wanted to know if you could help me out at finding what MA rates their amps at and how many ohms they use to find out their 500x1 @ ??? and 1000x1 MAX so i could find a sub. Also do you know if the MA 1886i is 2ohm stable? Thanks

MA Audio rates that amp to produce 500 watts x 1 at 2 ohms... So yes, it is 2 ohm stable. They do not say what voltage it is rated at, but it has a regulated power supply, so you should get 500 watts out of it from a certain voltage range, usually 11.x - 14.x volts (Which an Ex falls into).

Never mind i got it working, you cant use it in AOL, you have to use it in Internet Explorer
