Audiobahn Wiring Confusion

I just got my 3 ALUM12Qs in the mail today... VERY EXCITING!!! Anyway, here is the problem... Every dual voice coil subwoofer I have ever seen had 4 terminals, 2 positives and 2 negatives. These subs have 8, laid out like this:

- +
- +

I can't figure out how to wire them! I need the coils to be wired in parallel... Are the 4 extras for connecting directly to another sub or something? I don't get it.

Hmmm... Actually I just thought of something, and maybe I am right. The extras are just extensions of the 4 mains, to make wiring easier? So the top left positive and the bottom right positive should go to the positive on my amp, and the top right negative and the bottom left negative should go to the negative on my amp, and the remaining middle positives should be connected to each other, and the remaining middle negatives should be connected to each other?

This makes sense to me... leenjen or somebody else, please help

yeah it's to make the wiring easier so you can use bigger speaker wire. if you look at it you can see which terminals lead to the saem voice coil.

are you wiring them in parallel to make a 1 ohm mono load?

Yep... Putting the voice coils together in parallel and the subs themselves in parallel for 1 ohm. Now, one other question - I already designed and built some of my box, and I see that the booklet that came with each sub says that the maximum recommended sealed enclosure volume is 1.25 cubic feet, with 20% polyfill. My box is 1.5 cubic feet/sub, with no polyfill. Should I be concerned or is 1.5 cubic feet going to be okay?

dont worry about it. it will sound great. Audiobahn subs always sound better in larger enclosures. the 1205X that i had was supposed to be in a 1 cuft enclosure. i put it in a 2.8 cuft ported enclosure and it sounded amazing.
