FRONT END WALKING ON MED TURNS.
AUTO 4x4 DRIVE: Kicks In If A Rear Wheel Slips.
This Will Engage The Front Wheels. 'ALWAYS ON'
* It Feels Like I Am In 4x4. >AND 4x4 ON TAR IS A NO NO<
* This problem has started to ACT up again after a rain storm.
* I Think After AUTO 4x4 kick's in, It offset's some aliment ???

I have the same problem in my '98. Please let me know what the dealer says/does to fix the problem. I have already replaced the speed sensors on the transfer case, but that didn't help.

Try reseting your computer by disconnecting the battery. Have you had your GEMs module replaced? There was a warranty recall for this part, and it does effect the 4x4 operation. If the reset doesn't work, my guess would be the GEM. (this is the part responible for the "phantom wipers" syndrome as well)
