My 1st generation auto hubs were slightly engaging/buzzing, so I spent the night cleaning them. All good for another 4000 miles until I rotated the tires. Now they buzz again so I just took them off. Should I just clean them again?

So far manual hubs look expensive

Manual hubs only look expensive until you compare it to what new auto hubs cost.

You can get a pair of manual hubs with conversion for < $200. Which includes the piece of mind that they are working when you want them to.

The Auto hubs cost upwards of $200 EACH. I've seen pairs go for $350+ or so and they aren't as strong as the manual hubs.
