automatic setting on AC/heat unit

Anyone ever have a 'fight' with their AC because it keeps kicking on as automatic when you've turned off automatic? I can hit 'off' and at randomly it will turn back on and show 'automatic' on the readout. So i tried changing the mode to something else so automatic isn't on, and then i hit 'off' and it turns right back on again. Ive had the exploder for 9 years now, and its just started in this past year, and gotten really effing annoying in the last couple weeks.

If it comes on by itself, you might need a new EATC head unit. Not to worry though. There are a ton of them on E-bay(usually less than $50)
