Autostart problems

Guys my 93 Sport has been down since last February and finally the new tranny and t-case are in it but now it won't start.

It cranks but there is no spark. The tranny guy thinks its my autostart. The dang thing won't go into service mode apparently.

So besides pulling all the wiring of the autostart out is there a quick way to disable the autostart so we can try to start it again?

I was thinking that if I just disconnected the cranking wires all would be fine how does this sound

If there is no spark, check for voltage at the coil. What about the rest of the iginition system?

pull the fuse to the main power to the autostart, or if there isn't one, (there should be) just cut the wire and put a fuze block in so you can put a fuse in.
If that doesn't work, pull all the fuses to the autostart. My autostart has like 6-8 fuses under the dash.

My autostart was hardwired in and the only fuses are for the door lock unlock. I think I will just disconnect the crank wire and power wires.

I was having trouble starting it before it went to get tranny installed but I checked and I was getting spark I thought it was bad fuel from sitting for 6 months. But he says he is getting no spark si I have to believe him.

Wish I could hear it. You can always pull out 1 plug and hook the spark plug wire to it and see for yourself if it is getting spark. If it is, then you are probably having a fuel problem.

Maybe you are due for a new fuel filter.
