2006 Mountaineer
Hello all..new to the forum..I have a 2006 Mountaineer with the 6 disc changer and I am about to pick up a factory navigation off ebay along w/sirius tuner. I have a couple of questions:
1-can I buy a navigation from an 07 or 08 and have it work ..also if it's from a ford can the dealer reprogram to show the Mercury logo?
2-I currently have an aftermarket dealer installed DVD entertainment system (7"headrest monitors) that has the sound coming through my radio through the AUX conversion using the PIE FDR04 interface...what I am trying to confirm is that if I install the factory navi, the only way that I can continue to pump the aftermarket entertainment sound through the radio is by hooking up sirius satellite and using the Pie X3-FRD/P2 to "trick the system" into opening up the satellite port and intercepting the signal (through the satellite harness) ...by doing that I was told I can then run up to 3 AUX signals through this method (thinking of iPod connect as well)...this was all explained to me by the tech at http://www.oemautosound.com/default.aspx by using the satellite as a "conduit to open the AUX port" ..here is the link to the X3-FRD/P2 http://www.oemautosound.com/pc-393-...3-2006-x3-triple-auxiliary-input-adapter.aspx

will this work?...has anyone done this?..Thanks for your help
