I'm buying a rebuilt dana off craigslist, it is off an old bronco cut to fit. The only thing is it is missing the driver side axle shaft. Will the current axle shaft in my ttb be able to transfer over to the 44? If not how much would a new shaft cost and which make/model should i get?

If it is actually cut to fit an explorer tha mor than likly they had custom shafts built for it and if that is true then getting one from ur truk is prolly not gong to. If its from an early bronco 66-77 then maybe its not shortened and u can buy parts from a Bronco supplier.
You could be looking at a preety penny for a custom shaft to have a custom built for ur shortenedaxle so dont pay too much for it untill ur sure of the details.

Send me a PM with the info. Also the BOM# off the housing. I'll get your axle for you. Unless you find one REAL cheap used..I can just sell you an OEM replacement for a lot less than most places.

I'm unsure of years but I do know it was cut to fit. I'm paying 650 with a 10" lift radius arms and rims to fit. I don't know exactly what else is in cluded in the lift but the ad says all accesories.

Eric- I'll pm you

We won't make a custom axle shaft but I can probably get you a cut to fit..

anyone know roughly how much a new driverside axle will cost for a shortened 79 bronco Dana?

EDIT: Also if anyone has any input on whether or not this is a good purchase; and on the fabritech lift kit.

The axle is off of a late model Bronco (1979). It has been shortened for fit a Ranger, Traclock locker, Genuine 4.56 Gears, High Pinion, New Hubs, New Rotors, Original Calipers, Fabritech 10inch lift kit, new Polyurethane bushings. for 650
