Had to get another C4 for my B11 build. The first one had rust all thru it. I just picked up another one last night. This one is sweet. My question for the auto tranny gurus is this. It has just been rebuilt and has a B&M shift kit in it. It was in one of his drag cars. The guy I got it from says I should take it out for street. That it would shift too hard. What's your thoughts. I have to take it to the tranny man to put the C5 output shaft and tail shaft in and he'll check it all out. Should I tell him to take it out and install a stock one? I thought that harder shifting ones was less strain on the clutches because they did not slip as much creating less heat. Then again I don't want this to slid all over the road during wet conditions when it shifts.

The B&M kits can usually be adjusted from mild-medium-max by enlarging the plate holes for fluid passage (last one I had included the drill bit in the kit.) If I were in your shoes, I would install another new shift kit but at a mild or moderate setting. Going back to stock would be disappointing. The advantage of a mechanical shift kit is noticable and well appreciated; I still use mechanical kits along with upgraded tuning.

Greatly appreciated  I"ll tell the tran man what you said. I'll be taking it down to his shop this week.
