Does anybody have this kit, and if so what do you think about it? Does it add much power? Does it make the shifts too jerky? Thanks!!!

Which one are you thinking about? I have the electronic shift-plus and love it. It just firms up the shifts and makes them quicker. Gears are held for a bit longer, too. The install was easy, took about 30 mins.

The "box" has 3 settings: I call them 0,1,2. 0 = stock, 1 = medium, and 2 = hard. I usually keep it on 1 all the time, 2 when I'm racing. 1 is more firm than stock, but just right. 2 is a little too firm for me, but good for racing.

Only 1 problem: the resistor box gets really hot. I took some cheap computer heatsinks, some heatsink gunk, and some electrical tape and put a heatsink on each side of it. Cost me $2 and it keeps the unit cool.

The one i am looking at is just a new seperator plate that replaces the stock one. It only costs about 30 bucks so i am skeptical as to how much performance i can get out of it. This isn't the same one you have is it? Thank again.

No, I have the electronic module that taps into a few wires and features a control box in the cab. I believe you're talking about an internal tranny mod.

FYI, the electronic one is much easier to install than ripping apart the tranny ;)

Who makes that?

Wow, only $40. I just installed a superchip and I noticed a vast improvement in shifts between 1&2 and 2&3. Tranny also shifts from reverse to drive and drive to reverse quicker.
