Back sagging?

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like on the 2nd generation explorers the back end seems to sag like the trunk is filled with bricks. Are some years (worse or better) with this? What causes this and can it be corrected? I'm on the verge of buying a 2000, but I don't like that backend sagging and front end sorta up in the air look.

Most likely the rear leaf springs are worn out.
