for some reason they are really low. it's not a setting on the head unit, i already tried. i actually have to give the back speakers power to try to even things up. when everythings at normal settings, the fronts seem like the only speakers i have. you would actually have to put your ear on the rears to hear them. it also is not the speakers themselves b/c i've tried different ones. any suggestions would be great.

I noticed my rear speakers being more muddy, and quieter than the front when I was stock, and then they still sound different after replacing the HU and all four speakers.

?
I asked here, and found that it may be just something to do with the setting of the "sound stage"
Anyway they aren`t as hard to hear as you have explained.
I usually use a setting of +1 fade to the rear to even it out. It might not sound any different to the average guy, but I am definitely fooled.

oh man, i'm talking 9 or 10 fade to the back to get things even. could it be the wiring?

9 or 10?

wow, I`m not sure then. Is it a stock Head in there?
Maybe something has actually blown inside it?

On sounddomain he said that he has an Alpine headunit, but didn't say anything about aftermarket speakers. Did you do the HU install yourself? If so, check the wiring again because it sounds like you've got the rears plugged in to the preamp... which would explain a lack of power. If you didn't do the install then I'd suggest taking it back to the installer and having them take a look at it.

no circuit city insatalled both the alpine HU and my infinity speakers. the thing is, the stock Hu and the speakers that were in it did the same thing. this is why i believe that it could be the wiring. you would think CC would catch this when they installed this stuff, but no.

Well if the the wiring is the only constant from stock to now, the only problem could be the wiring. Rip those suckers out of there.

ya scormunch, i mean, what else could it be? i'll replace the wires with some good gauge ones and that will probably do it.
