My rear window rolls down on my 02 ST no problem but when I try to roll it up it goes up halfway then rolls back down again. The only way I can close it is by grabing it and pulling it up will its trying rollup? Gearing issue? Some sensor maybe? Anyone have any ideas? I am still waiting on my Haynes book for this truck.

Thanks

Check the owners manual link I sent for the owners manual. It references rear window issues. i also sent you an email in case you want the service procedures.

Can anyone help me out as well. I'm having the same issue...It goes down perfectly fine, but when I try to put the rear window up, it goes half way then goes back down...Please if anyone can help me that would be amazing!!!

Sometimes if the glass binds a bit or if the selector is pushed/turned too many way too fast it just gets uncooperative. Glad it worked!

Thanks so much again, I thought it was because it was raining, and maybe the window was slipping but I guess not.

Ok, its fixed for good now, I repeated the steps CAREFULLY, and its working perfectly.

LOL !! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you ............ for now anyway!

Beat ya by a minute, haha!

Damn you're slipping swshawaii. LOL.

Okay so i followed the procedure, THANKS GUYS, but there is a twist. The procedure went well and it did all the things it should to show it worked, but after it went back up, it will now not do anything (vent, go down etc)

What happened?

Sounds like a faulty motor. If so, Ford 1L54-14553-AF or Motorcraft WLM-144

How could it? After all, how many people get it right on their FIRST attempt? ;)
