- 96 B2300 (AKA Ranger) 2wd
I actually joined this forum more than 10 years ago when I drove a 1999 Ranger. I know a few folks who post mostly in the off-road section, ScottB, Tbars (Ted), Brian, from some trail runs, but my vehicle has always been a 4runner.
Well, I still have the 4runner but on Monday I should be picking up my new-to-me daily driver: A 1996 Mazda B2300 a/k/a Ranger with a funny face:
Only 141k on it, and it runs like a champ. It was tough to find a 4 cyl reg cab that had AC, but this one was ice cold.
I'll probably spend more time on this board once I start fixing her up a bit. A shell is a must, and then I'll have to put a stereo in (it has nothing now.) Has the nice cloth seats, which I like, and it's pretty comfy, if a bit cramped (my last two trucks were extended cabs, I think I got a little spoiled.)
EDITED TO ADD: I'm assuming that somewhere along the line the previous owner put those wheels on there, at least I don't think I've ever seen a Mazda with the Ranger "deer foot" wheels. Nice, though, since I like those wheels.
