I believe I have a front wheel bearing going bad. It sounds like 'tire whine' when I get up to 35 mph, and the noise goes away when I make right hand turns at that speed. In my mind, that means that the front passenger side is going bad because weight of the vehicle is being taken off that front passenger wheel and placed on the drivers side. Does this make sense, and is it a likely assumption that this is the wheel bearing in question?
I already have the new hub (with bearing) to install, I just want to avoid taking the old one off, putting the new one on, and realizing that it was the other wheel.
Thanks in advance.
