Okay, For some time now I have been having problems with my Explorer while at idle....especially while cold. Whenever I'm in drive for instance and I give it some gas only to stop a few feet ahead of me in traffic, the rpm goes all the way down and sometimes even stalls out. Other times while I'm in gear at a stop, it just feels really rough and if I listen, it's almost like I hear/feel the car wanting to sputter out every 10 seconds or so..It's as if the fuel injectors are spraying too much or too little fuel into something... I've replaced and.or checked all problematic sensors (IAC, MAF), plugs, wires, thermostat sensor, ran sea foam through everything, new fuel filter...Can anyone offer me some advice here, it's been driving me absolutely nuts!!! By the time I get it to the shop, the engine has warmed up and I can't show them what is happening!!! Heeeeelllp! :fire:

Might try a bottle of Chevron techroline in the gas tank

A canof Sea Foam often helps in situations like yours.

Good luck....

tried

I've used seafoam....twice to no avail..even put a can through the gas tank..It's almost like the timing of the fuel injectors is off..Any way for me to check the fuel injectors?

Try "listen and feel method." Palpate/feel each injector individually while running and see if one has an abnormal vibration or pulsation different from the others. Could try a mechanic's stethescope to listen to each and compare the sounds. Alternatively inline test lights can be wired inline with the harness/injector connection to visually inspect function.

Have you checked for codes? Checked fuel pressure at start-up while this is happening?
