If the thermostat were stuck closed, the least of your problems would be too much heat from the heater. The engine would be overheating badly.. If its not over heating I don't think you have a stuck closed thermostat.
When you turn the key on after sitting overnight, does it register full cold?? If so, run the vehicle from cold and when the temp starts to approach normal on the gauge, grab the heater hose from the water valve. It should still feel cold. If not, check to see if your water valve is functioning correctly.
Your heater core bypass may be broken causing hot water to circulate even when on the cool setting. If you follow the lines to the heater core in teh engine compartment there should be a valve looking thing with a vacuum line running to it. That is your heater bypass valve.
Do you notice a difference on the temp gauge? is it running warmer than normal ? if not then as Mark said it's not your thermostat.
It was a bad thermostat...replaced it today, also with a new temp. sending unit and now my temperature stays in de middle...
Heat is working also right as it should...
