Bad Vibration I think passenger side

So, lately when I'm running between 50-80 there is a bad vibration on my 02 sport trac 4x4. If I look over at the passenger seat head rest I can see it bobbing back and forth pretty badly. I feel it lightly on my side but doesn't seem as bad on the driver as the passenger but maybe because I'm sitting on the driver side... Anyways, any idea where to start troubleshooting? U-Joint? Tires need balanced?

Yes. Definitly start with the balancing of all the tires, rotate, proper inflation, and a visual inspection for any odd wear or bubbles/cracks in the tires then go from there. Hope that works for ya.

sounds like a wheel bearing, mine did that and it eventually got louder and louder.

id start with the tires first before you jump into a bearing job

Update? and 80? I hope you are reffering to km/h:)

always check your tires when you have weird vibrations at higher speeds. it can save you a ton of money. sometimes if you dotn rotate your tires you will develop bumps and uneven tread wear. it can cause some pretty bad shakes and sometimes mechanics will tell you its all kinds of other stuff and try to rip you.

Well, I got the all rebalanced and we also found a considerable amount of mud packed on the inside of the rims (duh) and now it is smooth as butter :)

Yes, good point! Mud,brake dust,rust,etc..can build up inside your wheels. Going to go out and check mine now just in case.
