Hi Guys, in the recent bad weather i had some problems with water splashing up under the engine bay and causing problems with the alternator light coming on and the power steering suddenly stop working, is the an after market splash guard type of thing, not sure if there is such a thing

Thanks

I don't think you can get something off the shelf, but there is nothing stopping you getting some checker plate and screw it up underneath.

I have the exact same problem... the way to where I work floods every other month for a week or so and every time on at least one of my crossings my power steering says "no" and my alt light comes on.

It's the accessory belt getting wet and failing to grip the alt and P/S pulley. A friend attached a mudflap off a lorry under his Patrol to counter similar splash issues.

Thanks Guys, I have had my Explorer for about a year and got a few issues, I will post them individuality, I think its time to spend a few quid :-(
