Iam now adjusting the bands on my 5R55E trans. The front bolt is verry rusty and the nut will not turn. Any idea's on what I can do. Curently letting it soak in wd40. Any ideas?

I have had nuts so frozen on the bolt it could only be removed as a unit. If that is your situation, your choices are few. Either leave it alone and trust the last band adjustment setting, or remove the bolt and b\nut and replace both with new... and trust the band stays in position, so you do not have to remove the pan to readjust it as you put the new bolt in place.

Thank's guy's, I have tried the wrench idea. The nut will not turn due to being frozen on the stud. What are my chance's that I will have to drop the pan if I remove the stud to install a new one?.

Try a good penetrating oil. A deep socket with a ratchet or breaker bar will turn the nut, but might also turn the stud at the same time. The nut has a seal which might leak when it's turned after being held in a certain position for so many years.
