Hey guys, I have a bank 1 sensor 1 upstream sensor bad.

I ordered the sensor and ordered upper and lower intake manifold gaskets since it was giving a "switch indicates lean" code as well as no heat and slow response codes.

So I am wondering is Bank 1 Sensor 1 driver or passenger side before the cat? I ask because one is right down under the truck and very easy to get to (passenger side) and one is crammed all the way up near the fender and firewall (driver side) and I dont want to put it in the wrong place mainly because of the PITA it will be to do the driver side.

I searches here and on google and was perplexed on here some one said ford is opposite from normal cars so bank 1 sens 1 is passenger and then some one said its the side cyl 1 is, and some one else said its driver side is always bank 1 sensor 1

Any positive and affirmative answer on this? Which side is Bank 1 Sensor one I know its upstream/pre-cat but what side?

Thanks all
