Mine used to rattle like crazy too, but not as bad as before I dynamatted the hatch... I couldn't think of how to tighten it, but if you put something between the knob and the other piece of it, then it stops. The only thing I could think of was a piece of string, knotted tightly around it between the two pieces. That made it stop. Sure, it didn't look great, but you couldn't see it unless you looked for it.

try raamat it's a lot cheaper. and it does the same thing as dynamat. you can find it on ebay pretty cheap.

You could take a small dab of silicone and put it on the back of the tab. That way it will stay in the same spot and you can also remove them.

This is true... I guess technically I should say "before I Ice & Water Guard'd my hatch" :D You can get a roofing material from most building contracters, and where I found it, it is called "Ice and Water Guard". It's $.38/sq. foot. ($38 for a 100 sq. foot roll, which just about covered the whole interior). Great stuff. It has an adhesive backing like the others, and is the same material. I would never blow the kind of cash that the other guys want on their product... I'd rather splurge and buy better amps ;)

so this ice and water gaurd helps just like dynamat? if it does im definately looking into that becuase my grandfather and uncle own a roofing company. what are some specs about it? like thickness, etc.? thanks
