2002 sportrac
I have a 2002 sportrac with a pretty strong draw on the battery. When I disconnected the negative terminal and ran a test light between the battery terminal and the ground lead the test light is bright and pulsing at the same rate as the chatting driver side door lock actuator. The door lock relay is also chatting in and out. When the negative lead is attached to the battery terminal there is just a straight draw, no noise. Also, during the chattering, when the brake pedal is depressed the chattering stops, when released it starts again. I don't believe it is a relay issue but possible a short, broken wire or grounding issue. Need some help in the right direction to run some tests...thanks

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the 2001-2005 Sport Trac section. You have to use an ammeter to test for the total currect draw, then disconnect fuses one at a time to pinpoint which circuits require the most amout of current with the ignition off. Some circuits always draw current such as the computer, radio, clock, etc.
