Hey guys when i went to leave from school today I started my truck and it started right up, but the volt gauge was hovering just a drop above the low mark. On my 10 minute drive home it was slowly moving to the normal position then back down to just above the low mark. Accelerating made no difference it was just moving very randomly. When i got home i turned the truck off and started it back up about 3 times and it started right up each time. Not sure what's going on, but when the volt meter is at the lower point my battery light comes on. This is the 1st time this has ever happened. The battery is about 3.5 years old now. My dad was going to borrow it tomorrow so he said he would get it checked at STS for me, but just out of curiosity i was wondering if anyone had any ideas what this might be: gauge? battery? alternator?

Thanks alot, Jason

Devilboy, i just tried ure suggestion, no luck. I cleaned everything off, turned the key and again the car cranked right up, but the volt gauge was still just above low.
