I bought an 8in 200watt Bazooka tube for my kid's car (96 Probe) as a christmas present. He has a Pioneer deck (model??).

When I got up this morning and went out on the back deck to have my coffee I heard it "popping". His car was turned off.

I went down and put the key into the ignition and turned the radio off and the popping went away. Did we when we installed it do something wrong? We followed the intallation instructions to the letter when we installed it. Could we have missed something or is it required that the deck be turned off to kill power to the sub?

might have a short in the remote wire or something with the power to the deck messed up?

if its broke i have one im trying to get rid of $50 plus shipping :p

the deck must be turned off.

Thanks guys, I even checked the Bazooka Website for any thing about this and found nothing. He has been turning the stereo off since then and the popping sound has not returned. Guess this is the "fix" that we will stick with.

double check the ground wire..... a buddy of mine burned his s-10 to the ground with a 10" bazooka because the vibration of the sub caused the ground to come loose. his was also popping at times.
