Bazooka tubes

Well to just say it up front I am a cheap skate. Now that it is known, I wanna get some bazooka tubes for my explorer. I really dont need much more than that i already have good sounding speakers in there. But i wann get some tubes and there are two i am looking at. A $170 tube w/ 6 1/2 inch subs, or a $200 tube with 8 inch subs. Other than that they are exatly the same. is 1 1/2 inches worth $30?

tubes are crap... you can get a decent sub in a box cheaper than that and will sound loads better than a tube

Agree with jimabena74. You could pick up a 10" JL W3 for about $100, and some places might throw in a box for free.

I third, tubes = **** I got three jl 10w0 for 300 = 100 a pop and they pound with the amp I have.

well i would like to be able to get some good sound going but i am not really wanting a whole lot of "Thump" so to speak. Maybe a little but not too much, can i do that with just a tube or is that not even worth it? I pretty much want something cheap so what is best...
