No one that has bought one can help me on this?

People are probably still in bed. It's only been less than 2 hours since your original post (4:30 AM from wherever the time is measured). ;)

you're right i'm sorry, I'm such a crazy night owl I haven't even been to sleep yet..... but when ever someone wakes up lemme know where I can buy a BBK throttle body..........muchos gracias

Call me crazy, but I thought the BBK's were only for the pushrod engines?????????

this link says it doesn't fit SOHC

BTW - I have found that the truck performance website is a little more user friendly than summit racing, but it really comes down to whoever has the best price, right?

Oh really that's good to know. See how mechanically declined I am. I can replace and up grade parts but I don't know the specifics. Thank you though!

Yep I just looked. Not for SOHC. Lost cause I guess. Oh well

Hey don't feel bad, it took me a good 6 months after I bought my explorer to figure out I had the OHV engine and not the SOHC, imagine my suprise, lol

I reckon that the SOHC must have a pretty large throttle body stock, I'm sure that somebody could chime in and let us know the exact measurments. You can however get a new Mass airflow sensor and a better air intake, so not all is lost

I beleive the SOHC has a 63mm TB stock as opposed to the 58mm OHV TB

Got an iFab cone filter and adapter coming (taking forever though) and I've heard the Mass Airflow Sensor isn't worth the money
