My explorer seems like it is just eating bearings. We have replaced 3 in the right rear in the last year and one in the left front. Anyone know why this might be happening? Luckily we replace them ourselves so no labor cost, however, at $125 a bearing it is getting a little expensive.

i just put two in the front. . . what brand where they? Made where? just curious.
Mine were made in china only one year warranty. . . I also hear that timkin bearings offer a lifetime or so i was told

Are you sure they are pressed in all the way? Maybe something with that knuckle is not allowing it to go on all the way and its getting ****ed just a hair sideways.. I would splurge on a new knuckle and start over again before I put anymore bearings in that one. Also the proper torque on that axle nut is important.
I just finished both rears on mine today. So quiet now!
