This is my first post. I've been fortunate enough to find all the answers to my problems based on other reviews. Sadly and exciting I suppose, I'm ready to put my Explorer out to pasture. I bought a 2002 Explorer Sport new, and I've put 160k miles on her. I've had mostly wear and tear issues over the years, and was able to fix allot myself based on research here. I've got a few problems right now, a major oil leak, and just developed the dreaded SOHC V6 timing chain rattle . That all being said, I'm ready for my next Explorer. I don't want to go new, maybe within the past few years. Are there any big differences between 2013-2015? Any I should steer clear of?
That all being said, I'm only noticing the rattle between 2,100-2,500 rpms. It's only been about a month. Will it eventually just break on me?
