I ordered it on 4/16 and was supposed to have it in about 10 business days. That would have been last week Monday or Tuesday (5/1). Now they're telling me next Monday (5/14).
Hope I'll get it by then since I want to install it and mount 2 PIAA SMR's before I leave for Moab on Wednesday or Thursday.
I've researched em' all but haven't bought one yet , but when I do it will be a Westin " Sportsman " by far the best lookin' and best priced ( @ $380 ) avail. in stainless too......
Now I don't want to turn this into an opinion thing. However I personally bought a Black one piece guard by Manik. I little on the expensive side (I bought it through a Sears catalog) but in my opinion the best looking. Just my .02.
Bigtigexplorer , Thats badass... it looks alot like the Westin "Sportsman" I talked about. When I looked at Manik , they showed me a plain ol' boring thing , the dummies prob. showed me the wrong one .
Thanks... If your interested I believe the model number for this brush guard is 332650SP, but I not sure you might want to double check. Like I said, I ordered mine out of the Sears Automotive catalog, since it is all one piece they shipped it truck freight. I think I paid $420 for the guard, but shipping was $80-$100.
I have Manik (both front and rear) on my 01 Sport. I have been happy thus with the fit and finish, but that's not why I recommend the company. The idiots at the local dealership decided that during my state inspection last week that they needed to remove the front pieces over the headlights and the rear pieces entirely (obviously I wasn't there). I could not understand the logic with this as they are not like the "GTS" smoke plastic covers that actually cover the lights, but just a few small bars that are inches from the lighting surfaces. Needless to say they chipped, scratched, and generally lost most of the mounting hardware. I was furious, but knew I was beating a dead horse when trying to make this dealership act responsibly for anything. I had resigned myself to call Manik and just pay for new mounting hardware myself. I was pleasantly surprised when the CSR on the line said they would send out all the new hardware free of charge and even pay for shipping! I thought this was extremely cool of them and not at all what I expected from a giant company. I will make sure that I send them all my future accessory purchases for going that extra step.
i say scrap the grill guard idea and get a safari bar (unless you do a lot of off road driving.) i love mine. for pics, go to my website in my signature. just another option for ya.
