Best price on armrest bracket for a 93XlT

the plastic armrest part on my 93 xlt is broken.a call to a few dealers in my area quoted a price or 50 dollars give or take a dollar.any mail order sources sell the part for less.I thought they were in the 30 dollar range.

goto ebay, and check search for "explorer bracket" i paid 25 for mine and 5 for shipping.
he dealer will replace the old one with a new old one, which is very weak...
This one is reforced with steel, and i have no doubt in my mind it will last 10x longer than the old one.

I got mine at the dealer for less than $30.00

When replacing it, you must use a side grinder or dremel tool to cut the old pin in half. To get the new pin in (and bracket) I wrapped up the armrest in a towel and then place it in my bench vise...it's very hard to push in there..

Hey Randy was the new one the reinforced steel one , if so do you have the part # handy . My dealer cant confirm with out ordering it if its steel or just the same old crappy one. Thanks, Todd
