I have a 98 with a tt and shackles, and 31s, and I need new shocks, I pull a trailer almost ever weekend, ifs its not two 4 wheelers, its a 19 foot boat, so I need a good shock for the money, auto zone gots gabrials (sp?) for like 24.99 I think, but then they got belstiens which I know is a good shock, had them on a couple of cars, but I dont have enough money to spend on those right now, So what is a good shock for say under $35.00.

The gabriels are great shocks for the price! I've used them on my last '92 explorer and had them for a short while on my '94 explorer. "Best bang for the buck" if you will. Other shocks to look at are the rancho rsx shocks. There a self adjusting shock and I had them on my '94. There a little more pricewise than the Gabriels but well worth it I think.

The RSX's run around $50 a piece. If you're looking for something around $35, you could get some Rancho RS5000s.

where can you find rancho rs5000 for around 35?

Go to www.rockymountainsusp.com and you will see the Rancho RS5000.

They have great customer service and you will have your parts really really fast. let us know which route you go.

Are the Rancho RS5000 good for street?

I had my Rancho 5000's put on today, and they make a world of difference. Much stiffer ride, and much better handling. I got mine for $37.99 at www.jackit.com.

Call www.rockymountainsusp.com as they will probably beat that price. They have them advertised at 38.00.

Tell them Brian Green from Plano, TX sent you

Im not looking for a much stiffer ride..I mean it goes off roadind sometimes, but not as much as its on the street, so I need something that will help towing, but not be like riding on a log, cause its stiff ride now with just the torrsion twist and shackles, dont want it to much stiffer..
