Best way of cleaning up scratches on hood, also on window!?

i finished washing my 91 ranger XLT thursday night, friday morning i wake up and there is a large circular scratch across my hood and vertical scratches going up and down my passenger window. I feel like an idiot, best i can figure a pebble or something of the sort got stuck in my sponge without my knowing. im Open to any suggestions you guys can give me on reducing these scratches or covering them up.

I would try clay baring it.

get rid of the damn sponge as well, use a cotten mit, or sheeps cloath hand mit, they will prevent dirt and debris that would other wise be stuck in the holes of the sponge. Clay bar and cleaner, then wax should help,, let us know if it worked out.

Glass polish on glass, and a product called bubble polish or plastic polish available at airport FBO's, possibly at bigger auto parts stores.
