If you have them, disconnecting your sway bars will give you a little bit more suspension travel. It's not a lot, but enough to make the difference in getting up my ramps at opposite corners.
Edit: Oh, and it doesn't cost anything, unless you buy some kind of quick disconnect mechanism. I just put antiseize on the bolts, so they will come out easily.

ummmm, the stock springs flex really well surprisingly

Its the nature of IFS trucks to not flex well up front. As others have already stated disconnect your say bars to get that extra inch or so of flex up and full downward flex out of the front of your truck. I just did a 6" lift on my 1st gen Explorer and it flexes the same way it did before the lift. Here is a pic of it at max flex with the sway bars connected. I would have a pic with them discoed but I just lifted it and trying to get a fell for the new center of gravity and all.

Notice the front axles are pretty much even with each other, and the back axle is doing all the flex.

I have seen write ups that the articulation is lessened with a lift. I will see about the sway bars quick disconnect. :redexp:

I have no rear sway bar, AALs, shackles and i have mounted my shocks to the old sway bar mount and i get a decent amount of flex.
