Welp, after all my problems seemed to dissapear (more like $3,000 worth of repairs) my engine seems to hate me. From what I have been told by my Tranny shop is that a bearing on the the crank-shaft has blown and the crank-shaft is "walking" and pushing against my Torque Converter. now this is bad news cause im in debt so the Exploder is not on the road anymore. But whats the best thing to do? Im probably going to save up for a rebuild ($1890.72) or a new engine ($3244.12). Are those prices even reasonable? I have no clue but im probably going to sell it after i rebuild it cause this thing has been a LEMON! oh, 138k miles on the engine.

I put a rebuild motor in my 93 (160k) this winter and paid a little over 3000 installed. a friend of mine put it in for me, so I got a bit of a deal on the labor but as I recall the parts alone were 2000 or 2200 or something (not someone I'd call my "best" friend, obviously). got the motor from Cloverland (fairly reputable place in the area), but would rather have a Gopher in retrospect. the warranty is for 3 yrs or 50k, though. before I did it I checked out a number of places in downstate Mich (typically cheaper than where I am in the north land), and $3-large installed (around 2 for the motor itself) is about the going price (unless you try to go thru Ford, who wanted over 3000 for JUST THE MOTOR). I know, sucks to be us.
