Beware stock air tube and wires

Went out to change the drivebelt on the Ex. When I removed the stock air outlet tube, I found it had chafed into one of my power wires. Repaired and repositioned the wires and tilted the tube slightly to gain 3/4" clearance between the two. It has been rubbing for some time now and was lucky to find it when I did. Might be a good idea to make sure your wires have lots of clearance and not touching like mine were.

Sorry about the quality of the second pic. Never go drinking the night before you take zoom shots, or at least get a tripod then.

Good tip Bashman, my wires are already running away from the tube though, due to the police mods.....:)
 






Yeah mine were too. I found them like that when I broke the positive battery terminal, so I wrapped up the wire and moved them so they would not rub. My wire was exposed.

Remenber, A clean engine is a HAPPY emgine...:cool:
 






LOL...I'm afraid if I clean the engine, my power steering will start to leak again!
