Yo-I will be on the market for some new tires in a couple weeks so I was wondering what you guys thought. I've narrowed my horizons down to 2 tires. BFG Mud terrains km or BFG all terrains KO. MY rims are 15x10 and I got 5.5 susp. lift and front glass. I was going to go w/ 33"x15"x 12.50". I don't really want to go bigger cuz I don't got the cash to regear and all that.

By the way, I mainly do trail driving, but I love muddin' so when I get set up I want to do some minor mud action-not huge bogs or nothin, just big puddles where theres still a risk of getting stuck.

I will do some desert stuff, but no high-speed jumping stuff most likely cuz my truck can't handle it. Basically, to sum it up, I want a tire that has great traction in the dirt, rocks, a little sand, and some mud. BTW, I don't mind tire noise on the road. thanks

Both BFG tires have poor mud traction so I don't know what to tell ya. If you don't mind spinning them, they will clean out though. I say get the AT's.

How much mud is there within 300 miles of Santa Ana?!? ;confused: Or did you relocate and not change your profile?
I say get the muds. They're not Swampers, but they will be fine for what you do.

I would get the muds. They are good for everything!

Muds! They're awesome

go for the muds. i got the at/ko and now im regretting not getting the muds.

Go for the muds then groove them out. I have done this to one of mine. I need to do the other 3 yet.

I know you said you like the BFG's....but...I'm happy with my goodyear MTR's too.

A Tire groover... :) Just do a search on Summit's site and you will find one. They are pretty handy.

RangerX, the place I mainly like to go is in Corona off the 91. During the rains, this place can get pretty muddy. I tried going up a trail with my michelins a few months ago when it wasn't even that wet, and I ended up sliding everywhere, and getting into a somewhat precarious situation. Along the fireroads up there, there have been quite a few stretches of deep clay mud, it just doesn't happen that often, especially now in summer. I have also heard of a place up the 15 and 210 or something, I think it might be called azusa or something. I think it might be an orv park, but I've heard from several different people at 4wheel stores that there is some serious mud bogging there with a big pit and stuff too. I haven't been, but would like to check it out.

Anyways, thanks for the replies guys, they really are helping me make a decision. I'm still leaning towards the muds, but I think they are on backorder till about mid-august. Thanks!

if they are on back order try sams club or sears. they got my tires overnight from one of their other stores (sears) that had them on the shelf.
