Big Eddie Baurer Project Question

I was wondering if its possible to throw the 4x4 system into my Eddie bauer if i tore it out of a normal explorer.

It depends what you're trying to do. Eddie Bauer is just a trim package. An Ex is an Ex regardless of the trim level. It all depends on what you're doing, and if you have all the components and necessary wiring.

Essentially I'd like to buy a parts Explorer with the 4x4 system, tear it out and put in my Eddie Bauer. I'm trying to make mine unique. And since it needs a front shaft and transfer case any way I figured why not.
 






I'm a little confused. You mentioned needing a front shaft and transfer case. Is it 4wd already, or do you have a V8 AWD. If its a V8 you only have 1 option to get 4wd. Search 4406 swap, you'll find plenty of info on that.
 






I have AWD at the moment. But What Im trying to achieve is to switch from High 4x4, Low 4x4, and 2WD. I don't like having All time 4 wheel.

completely doable. extremely easy once you have sourced the parts.
