Big Hello To Everyone

Hello everyone. I,m new to this site. I live in southern Ontario, and own a 2000 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with a sick transmission. I messed up as a don,t really have the computer smarts, and didn,t navigate to the correct spot to post my problem/question. I accidently posted it in Glaciers 5r55e valve body rebuild section (sorry) I hope someone with the transmission smarts will see it and shed some light on this transmission problem for me, as I don,t know were to turn. I would also like to say thank you for such a wonderful site, and allowing me to become a member....Rob.

Welcome To The Forum! Your best bet is to have your truck hooked up to a computer to scan for codes it will help troubleshoot your transmission better. There is also the transmission section you may want to research to see if someone has encountered the same problems because more than likely someone has.

Hi Glen4x4. Thank you for the welcome. I did scan the truck with a Mac, and Snapon scanner tools and they both came up with the codes po708 and po1702. All relating to the prindle switch which I was told wouldn,t effect the shifting problems. Was told this right from a local Ford dealership well known in the area. ...Rob.
