big problems

first off my 99 xplorer sounds like a vaccum when it idles, it also spits and sputters when i hit the gas and try to pass people its not cool and need to know what it might be. my intake is a mac performance one im thinking of changing it any suggestions please let me know.

have you checked for vacuum leaks? thats wha tit sounds like to me.
