Big tires with flared fenders and no lift?

Mando,

How much bigger do you want to go? I have 31 X 10.5s on my stock suspension with no flares. I don't think you can go much wider then 10.5" without risking rubbing. But, if you don't care about the occasional rub, I imagine you can go pretty wide.

Hi Cameron.

We both are running the same set up (ok, I added coil spring spacers and add a leave, but ran stock height for more than 1 year with no problems).
I'm not going for that mod, but I want to know if any one has done it and how (we could keep a low center of gravity that way).

Did any one here modified his/her explorer body to fit large tires without using a lift kit? I know the front can be done with flared fenders (or cutting the stock ones), but, how could the rear be done?
