Biggest possible tires for 98 Explorer

Hello,

I just bought a 98 Explorer and I'm looking to put bigger tires on the stock rims. Right now it has 235/75/R15 and I wanted to know what the biggest I could go is without lifting, cutting, or modifying (for now).

Alright, I'll get more specific. Will a 275/70/R15 fit on a stock 15x7 rim without problems? Any not rub the fender..

Yes that will fit fine. That's about 30.15" diameter.

smitty, do a search and you will find a million threads.
my tires fit fine with no lift at all, but it's not true in everyone's case.
