just picked up my first Escape, A CLEAN 08 3.0 4x4 with 43k. Have noticed a squeek comming from the rear door area when going in and out of my driveway and going down a medium condition road, or on cobbelstone roads. Have tryed to lube all hinges, clean rubber points of contact. Sounds like a squeeky shoe type of squeek. Only happens on big bumps, or a frame type of twisting going in or out of my drive. Drive has a slight uphill grade. Any ideas could help. Pete:scratch:

Leave it to ford, was able to locate the squeek. Had the wife drive the car, and I was in the back. The squeek is comming from the rear glass. Found that if you open the rear and grab the sides of the door and twist, push one side in and pull the other side out,and go back and forth the squeek is at the latch. Window latch holding too tight. Removed the pannel and adjusted the catch bracket. replaced the pannel, and now the rear squeek is history. Just info for others. Pete

Slap me up side the head, to think that I could find and fix a squeek in a new to me 08 escape. The squeek is back, but not as pronounced. This SUCKS, not sure if I tighten up or loosen the latch. I can forsee that this will be a PITA.
