blaupunkt saucer subwoofer

Question , has anyone heard or had any experience with blaupunkt new sub. Supposely it can fit in half the space of a typical sub and am interested in using it .All comments welcome.

I'm not familiar with their new sub. What one are you talking about specifically? Model Number? I had a pair of old Blau 12's and I loved them. I didn't have a single problem with them for the 3 years I used them.

Am talking about the ones that came out last year. The ones that are as tall as an aa battery,the odwp1000s.

5.5" tall!! Those are little. The 10" is MSRP $299. thezeb.com price is $229. Handles 350W RMS, 1000 Peak. Dual Voice Coil. The only good thing I would say about these compared to say Resonant Engineerings 10SE, is the overall size. They would be perfect for a small sealed box. As for everything else, RE 10SE are MSRP $209 and handle 600W RMS. So they sound like a good sub, but there are better ones out for the money if you have the room to put them in.

If you want SPL or really good SQ this is not the sub for you...now if you want to use as little space as possible, such as under a seat, or in a side panel, and dont care about huge wattage, or loud output, get this sub. One of my audio mags tested it, ill try and dig it out, I remember specifically that you could stuff it into ridiculously small spaces.

Im sorry man, cant find the article.
I know i saw it in either: Auto sound and security, Mobile Entertainment, or another. The stuff I remember is that they got a pre production version, cuz it had a visible seam in it, they said excurison was modest at best, and I remember that they said it had descent sound quality. They are really cool lookin, did you try and search sounddomain.com for others that may have the subs? Are you lookin to put one in your cargo area or what? Personally I think that there are better deals out there for a small sub, unless your goin to install this puppy in your doors, you could probably use a regular style sub, along with resonants small sub, illusion audio also made a very low depth sub, I have an article on that, Go Figure??
