Hello forum members. Just curious if anyone has any recent experience with installing a blind spot detection system. The technology has changed in recent years and I am looking for input on the license plates versus behind the bumper versions. I have seen lots of systems but seem to be coming back to the Rydeen BSS2LPB, the Pioneer SDA-BS1 or the Brandmotion RDBS1500. Open to other suggestions. If you brought one, did you install yourself? How difficult? I am an older driver and of all the safety features on my wife's, this is my favorite. Thanks.

I just looked at the Rydeen BSS2LPB and it shows the license plate mount under the plate. I know on my 2009 STA that there is no room under the license plate for anything. Check that out as you make your decision.
I don't have any kind of back up camera on mine. For side blind spot all I use is a rectangular spot mirror on the drivers mirror.
Good luck

Appreciate the feedback. Have not made any decisions other than I think it is a safety feature I want to add to the truck.
