Blower Motor Not Working

Last week while I was driving I began to smell smoke. Smoke started coming into the car, seemingly through the air vents. Shortly thereafter the blower stopped working. I have automatic climate controll, and the unit was still functioning. I ordered a new blower motor and replaced what I believed to be a malfunctioning part. Well needless to say, that after I replaced the blower motor it still isn't working. HELP, what else could be broken. I am about to take a road trip and would prefer to have AC working.

When my blower motor wasn't working, I had to replace a relay under the hood, but I didn't have the smoke coming out of the vents before, it just didn't work.
