Blowing HOT air all the time

Hello. I have a problem with my '91 X. No matter what position I put the climate control lever in, it always blows extremely HOT air out of the vents. Also, after driving for a while the entire dash behind the radio gets extremely hot. It gets so hot that my CD Player finally went bad. The CD's were so hot I couldn't even tough them. Any ideas?

Well my did the exact opposite blew cold air (during the winter) all the time. I would check your a/c it may need a recharge.

You alo could have a faulty heater valve. This would allow hot water through the heater which is overpowering the a/c . Try pinching off one of the heater hoses to see if it improves.

Your climate control cable may have broken. When you pull it from hot to cold does it feel like is has friction on it or is it pretty easy? You should be able to hear a flap gate open and close when you quickly move the lever from hot to cold and back.
