I have a 06 V8 with 41k on it, and I've noticed that when I start the engine I get blue smoke out of the exhaust. Does anyone have same problem or what this my be? is it ok? or does something need to be looked at?

the blue smoke is oil burning the usual suspects are piston rings not sealing against the cylinder walls or the valve guides are worn. you should pull a spark plug or 2 to see if they have oil on them and maybe a compression test to see if the rings are sealing well. good luck with your problem and i hope you get it fixed

Have the PVC system checked

Plumbing? :D

I think Z06 meant PCV system. I was going to say that, but I think it's probably valve guides. If it's only a second on cold start and a small puff, no big deal.

Correct on both counts. Monitor oil consumption, also what weight oil are you using.

Valve Stem Seals.
