Has anyone modified their 1st gen X body to appear like a 2nd or 3rd gen. If so how did you go about it? What companies kit was used? How hard is it? What special mods did you have to do? etc. I saw a site where a guy custom makes the rounded front ends from fiberglass. Like the front panels and hood . Is ther a total kit out there somewhere?

You can use the Perry's Fab N Fiber kit like you describe. 95-97 taillights will bolt on with a little grinder work to your rear quarterpanels. Then you could put on a 95-97 tailgate to integrate in that highmount brake light.

thanx

thanks for the feedback. By the way, do you have to modify anything for the Perry's front fiber panels to fit and do you have to change the hood?

When you do it will you show us some pics?

thanx josh

gotta change the hood if you want it to look like 2nd gen anyway.

Will 2nd genX fenders bolt directly to my 1st gen frame. I wanted to find some 2nd genX fender panels at the local junkyard and swap them this weekend. Any ideas?

Rick had the Perrys fenders on there for awhile, then he switched to the metal 2nd gen fenders. Not sure what all he did, you could pm him or maybe he will see this....

You can use stock metal second gen fenders on a first gen, but you need to get the Perry's front conversion clip. The stock Ford second gen clip will not bolt up to a first gen.
